3 year old mentality

I was mowing the yard the other day, Buggie and K were playing in the backyard and Addi was sleeping. Bug comes up to me and says "Mommy, it's broke!" I didn't remember bringing any "breakable" toys out side, but there is also no such thing as unbreakable anything with my kids. I look don't to see what she has in her hand, and a green frog is peering up at me with those "help me" eyes.
What is broke, Bug?
Him!
Why is he broke?
I wanted a monkey!
HUH? You don't have a monkey, that's a frog.
**KISS**
See him's broke!
Thought process: My toddler just kissed a frog......

Here comes K aroung the corner of the house, and she is fussing.

She won't quit kissing the frog, Mom.
Bug, go put him in the grass so he can find his mommy

She puts him down, and I send her inside to wash her face. I finish mowing STILL not understanding what was going on.
After I got cleaned up, I sat down to watch a show on tv. At the commercial break, I decide to get something to drink, and Bug starts to holler in the living room....

Her's isn't broke! Mine was broke!

I go in the living room to see what the fuss is about. I finally realize what had been going on in a 3 year olds head all day.
That Capital One commercial. The Princess kisses a frog, and each time she kisses it, it turnes to something different. A ferret, a monkey, a goose......and she wanted the monkey

Oh, the simple thought process of a child. Why do we have to make things more complicated than that? Love your blog. Stop by mine when you get the chance!
