The Nest on my bed

So Addi and Kay were playing on my bed, the usuall stuff Kay makes a noise and Addi laughs. I look over and my comforter is piled up in a ball with Bug sitting on top of it.
What are you doing, Buggie?
Sitting on my nest.
Your nest? Why did you make a nest on my bed and not yours?
Cause I wan'ned to.
So you are a bird? What kinda bird are you?
I poop eggs out, mom.
WHAT??
Now at this point, I can never tell what she has actually done, so I have to remover her from the "nest" and check under her. No poop, good. I am now glad that she didn't mean litterally, as she normally means. Thank goodness some imagination is actually imagination!

Potty Dance

I have found a new blog, other than mypetpeeves.com that I visit daily. It is a mothers blog about her 6 kids. She tells the funniest stories, and it makes me feel that I am not alone in the loosig battle of sanity when it comes to raising children. Her topic of today was the clothes kids wear. I could be on a topic like this ALL day! Kay likes to play dressup, and would rather wear her barbie Rapunzel costume dress and shoes out to play than anything. If on those rare times I don't let her, she wears a skirt EVERYWHERE. She is so not like me....give me jeans or shorts and a tee anyday. Bug would rather be naked. Doesn't matter where or why, but for some reason when we enter ANY house, he clothses become a wadded mess on the floor. Shoes??? Who needs them... She is my Barefoot Contessa. In a world like she lives in, underwear are not comfortable unless they are her older sisters and they are on Buggie backwords. If you try to fix them for her, she will take them back off, turn them backwords, and put them back on.

Why is it that kids will do the "potty dance" but yet still refuse to go? I was in the kitchen fixing lunch today, and Bug comes in doing her dance.
Go Potty!
Don't have to go potty..
Go potty, you are dancing.
I'm not dancing!
(At this point she is not only dancing, but holding herself with BOTH hands)
Reese Layne go potty!
all wite, all wite! -as she sasche's to the potty
::FLUSH::
Go potty.......
I did.
why are you dancing??
I did go potty.
Finally I gave up and carried her in there and put her on the potty...done deal

3 year old mentality

I was mowing the yard the other day, Buggie and K were playing in the backyard and Addi was sleeping. Bug comes up to me and says "Mommy, it's broke!" I didn't remember bringing any "breakable" toys out side, but there is also no such thing as unbreakable anything with my kids. I look don't to see what she has in her hand, and a green frog is peering up at me with those "help me" eyes.
What is broke, Bug?
Him!
Why is he broke?
I wanted a monkey!
HUH? You don't have a monkey, that's a frog.
**KISS**
See him's broke!
Thought process: My toddler just kissed a frog......

Here comes K aroung the corner of the house, and she is fussing.

She won't quit kissing the frog, Mom.
Bug, go put him in the grass so he can find his mommy

She puts him down, and I send her inside to wash her face. I finish mowing STILL not understanding what was going on.
After I got cleaned up, I sat down to watch a show on tv. At the commercial break, I decide to get something to drink, and Bug starts to holler in the living room....

Her's isn't broke! Mine was broke!

I go in the living room to see what the fuss is about. I finally realize what had been going on in a 3 year olds head all day.
That Capital One commercial. The Princess kisses a frog, and each time she kisses it, it turnes to something different. A ferret, a monkey, a goose......and she wanted the monkey

My Basics

My Basics:
My name is Mandy, I am 25 years old, been married to Clint for almost 6 years. We have 2 really goofy kids together, and one on the way (soon). ALL GIRLS! Kaylie aka K, K-K, or Kaylie Roo is 4. Reese aka Reesie, Reesie Bug, or Buggie is 3 and Addison aka Addi is soon to come!

I have two siblings: Cory is my little brother, and Cassie is my older sister. Cassie is married to Philip 5 yeas ago, and they just had a baby name Breleigh. She is a beautiful baby girl!

My parents have now been divorced for a little over a year, now, after being married for 27 years.
I think it was/is good for both of them, while my sister thinks differently, but I think they are happier apart.

My life gets crazier with each child, and I loose more brain cells every hour because of them, but in some form or another, they are each a blessing in their own right. I wouldn't trade a minute of my life for something different.

As I have heard everything happens for a reason, good and bad, and I am a very FIRM believer in this.
